She did her artistic training in her father Paolo’s studio, and from the very onset of her creative journey, she quickly recognized ceramics as her preferred medium. Continual research and the propensity for experimentation brought Paola Staccioli, through the years, to perfect the luster glaze technique, and in the flash of glazes forged by fire, the works take form. Works for which the artist, each time, renews the pleasure of creating a story, governing form and color with the spontaneous and playful harmony that celebrates the marvelous beauty of a domestic, ordinary universe, a microcosm free of artifice where earth, fire and color are in tune with the revelation of light.
Thus are born the vases, bowls, teapots and sculptures flooded with spirals of vegetation and natural elements that become a symbol of endless expressive possibilities, transformed into an iridescent and mobile material. It is nature, with its inexhaustible variations of floral carpets linked to oriental motifs, that guides Paola, in each creation, to a new approach to beauty: the lively chromatic scale of the background enhanced by luster glazes, are flooded with floral motifs that form precious mosaics whose motifs are placed freely and in groupings, in each creation, with surprising and joyful creative spontaneity.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Following the first important exhibition at the Porcelain Museum in Palazzo Pitti in Florence in 2010, entitled “Ceramiche Animate”, we can list, among the principal personal and collective exhibitions, Paola Staccioli’s participation in important international exhibitions like the Oldenburg Ceramic Festival, Germany (2011 and 2012), receiving the award Premio Antica Arte dei Vasai by the Nobile contrada of the Nicchio in Siena, together with her father Paolo Staccioli (2012), the personal exhibition at the Benozzo Gozzoli Museum in Castelfiorentino (“Concreta 2013”), the exhibition at l’Officina Profumo Santa Maria Novella (2014), the exhibition “Paola e Paolo Staccioli.
